The children in Years 3 – 6 had great fun recently on their residential trips.
It was a great opportunity for the children to spend time together outside in the fresh air, learning new skills and making memories.
The activities varied for each class, but all of the children enjoyed learning how to make dens in the woods, collecting wood and learning how to make a stable structure and covering it with moss and leaves. The instructors taught the children how to safely light a campfire, and they all loved toasting marshmallows and making s’mores for a delicious treat!
The Year 6 children really challenged themselves, climbing a 25 metre high wall and having a go at the very scary looking ‘leap of faith’!
When the children returned to school, tired, happy and very muddy – all of them said that they had the best time ever!
