Environmental Challenge

We were very excited to submit our entries to the Greener Henley ‘Environmental Science Challenge’.

The children enjoyed their research into ‘Why Insects Matter’, and have really impressed us all with their creative responses and amazing illustrations.

Year 2 investigated why bees are so important to the eco-system, looking at ways to encourage bees into your garden, including making bee baths and planting wildflowers.

Year 4 worked hard on their insect fact files, including details on blow flies, butterflies, bees and ladybirds.

The Year 6 mind map of how insects are useful made fascinating reading, including information on dung and scarab beetles, carpenter ants and buff-tailed bumblebees.

Well done everyone, what fantastic work!
