Admissions Process

We accept applications to join us throughout the school year and will work with you to make the admissions process as straightforward as possible.

Follow these three simple steps to apply for a place at St Mary’s and to accept that place should one be offered.

Step 1

Book a Visit

Although it is not mandatory for you to visit the school, we strongly recommend that you book a personal tour to come and meet us properly and see the school during a normal teaching day.

Step 2


You will need to register your child with us to begin the formal application process. Please download and complete the registration form on this page. In addition to submitting your form, you will also need to pay a non-refundable £75 registration fee. Details of how to pay this can be found on the registration form.

Step 3

Offering a Place

If your application is successful, we will arrange a taster day for your child and assuming that is a success, send you an offer of a place. This will include a letter specifying your child’s start date, a contract that you will need to sign and return to us, and all the fees information. In addition to returning these documents, you will be asked to pay a refundable £500 deposit. Completing and returning these documents, and paying the deposit, is taken as acceptance of your place.

A place will be held open for three weeks from the date of the offer letter, after which time it may be offered to another family.

Please note: The £500 deposit will be refunded to you in your child’s final term of school (usually Year 6). You will also be refunded the deposit provided you give us one term’s notice that your child is leaving St Mary’s, or at the end of Year 6.
