Academic Quality and Results

Our academic results highlight the quality of the education we provide and are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff.

We closely monitor all of our pupils as they progress through the school and work hard to create a nurturing learning environment that challenges every child as they develop.

Results from our yearly progress tests consistently exceed the national average in all subjects. The average standardised score for our children at the end of year 6 (including our children with SEN) was at least 15 points higher than the national average of 100:

Many pupils make outstanding progress

In the early years we use an online application that allows parents to log in and see their child’s progress. Comments from teachers and photographs taken during the school day serve as a progress record.

At the end of the summer term in Kindergarten, we write an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) report for every child, which will explain the level they’ve reached across seven specific areas of learning.

Throughout Years 1 to 6, all the pupils are regularly assessed, with standardised reading and spelling tests introduced in Year 1 and Year 2 respectively. We also conduct cognitive ability testing in Years 4 and 5, and all our pupils sit national assessments in English, Mathematics and Science from Year 1.
