Years 1-6

In these years the subjects are more specifically identified and are shown in more detail on the following pages.

Specialist teaching is a feature of St. Mary`s that develops through the age range until 8 - 11 year olds enjoy specialists teachers in all their subjects such as music, science, ICT, maths, English and French. Children in the earlier years have the security of a form teacher who teaches most subjects for a substantial part of the day. Exceptions here are music, French and games. English and the humanities are taught by the form teacher until year 4.
