The Staff

We are fully staffed with teachers and Nursery Nurses who have early years qualifications.  Mrs Ruth Peters,B. Sc, P.G.C.E,  leads in Kindergarten and Sarah Cook NNEB, DPQS  leads in Nursery.  Other members of staff have nursery qualifications and considerable experience of early years teaching.

As Head of Early Years, Ruth Peters oversees the curriculum, assessment, recording, progress and planning across Kindergarten and Nursery, 'The Foundation Stage' of education.

We work on a ratio of one staff member to eight children in these early years, increasing as necessary when circumstances require.  The classes throughout the school are based on sixteen children.  

Children have specialist teaching in French and music in Nursery and in French, music and P.E in Kindergarten. This specialist teaching not only enriches the curriculum giving the children extra enjoyable and stimulating experiences but widens their horizons and their contact with other adults in the school in a happy and secure setting.
