After School care
The after school care 'Tea Club' is available at St. Mary's from 3.30pm - 5.30pm in the Kindergarten area.
You can letus know if your child is to be in tea club on a regular basis or you can sign the daily tea club list which is in a folder by the school office. Also, if you are delayed or arrangements change during the course of the day, you can telephone and we will enter your child's name on the list and let your child know.
At the end of the school day, if your child has not been collected within ten or fifteen minutes of your expected arrival time, he or she will be taken to tea club for safe supervision. In this event we will always telephone you to let you know.
At 3.30pm, the members of staff running tea club take the daily list and ensure that all children are present. You will sign this register and record the time when you collect.
The time in tea club is free time for the children; they can play games, do art and crafts, read books, watch television and even complete their homework!
The children usually have a snack and a drink on arriving and a light tea, usually sandwiches or rolls, which is then served between 4.30pm and 5.00pm. Tea club closes promptly at 5.30pm, although in an emergency children will be looked after by a senior member of staff. Social Services would be contacted if no contact could be established with parents or the parent's nominated contacts by 6.30pm.
A charge is made by the half hour for attendance at tea club. Details are on the fee schedule and you are invoiced half termly in arrears.
