Admission and Attendance

Children begin to enter the school nursery in the term in which they turn three years of age. These children are our 'Lower Nursery'. They usually start with three sessions per week but ten sessions are available and will be dependent on the number of children attending on any given day.

Offers of places are made first to siblings and then on a 'first come, first served' basis from the waiting lists.     Most classes in the school have a balance of boys and girls.

Places can be deferred until the September after the third birthday when a minimum of five sessions attendance is required. This is the 'Upper Nursery' group. The choice of sessions is flexible, dependant on availability, working around your requirements, whether you need either half days, whole days or full time attendance.

In the Autumn term, in Kindergarten, the children attend full time. We feel very strongly that full time attendance will benefit the children in the long term, causes less disruption to the teaching they receive and the child's routine. If for any reason you or the school felt that your child was unable to cope with the demands of the full school day in their first term then we are happy to discuss this with you and look at the options available.
